Online English speaking instruction in junior high schools: Readiness and obstacles

In the midst of a pandemic, teaching speaking online becomes one challenges. This study investigates whether or not English teachers were prepared to teach virtually. Consequently, purpose this was determine teachers' readiness and obstacles during pandemic Covid-19. The researcher utilized mixed research methods conduct study. information gathered via questionnaires interviews. experts have tested validated these instruments. data then quantitatively qualitatively analyzed. Quantitative analyzed with aid SPSS statistical calculations. contrast, qualitative using multiple steps, including reduction, presentation, conclusion. results indicated that majority implement instruction despite fact some quite due several obstacles.
